Even though we've seen Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hanging out with new flames, Justin was still expected to show up at Selena's 22nd birthday party next week, despite her friends' protests. But according to Hollywood Life, Justin has other plans for July 22nd — and they don't involve Selena.
In fact, he's just going paintballing. "Selena is not only not going, but she wasn’t even invited," the source said. "They are not doing well right now."
Last year, Justin surprised Selena on her birthday, so this news might come as a shock. But we definitely noticed tension between Selena and Justin. Plus, some people are speculating that they're actively at odds. Justin made a comment about not taking things too seriously, which some think was aimed at Selena!
However, Justin was tweeting about not being afraid to make a fool of yourself with your friends before that, so we don't think it was a pointed jab. Instead, it looks like both Justin and Selena agree that they need to give each other space, which is why we probably won't see them hanging out any time soon. Those lingering feelings won't get better without some distance!
