Musical Artists Turn Your Story About Bullying Into a Song

This story is brought to you by the makers of EPIDUO® (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel, 0.1%/2.5%.
In high school, Clinton Sparks never quite fit in. His dad was never around; he didn't have the "right" clothes because his family couldn't afford it; and he always felt too "white" for the black kids but too "black" for the white kids.
He found solace in music by mixing and re-mastering tracks, but even that hobby was considered weird by his classmates. He responded by being even more outrageous, like wearing crazy outfits to school in an attempt to stay true to who he was, which only led to being labeled as even more of an outcast. He endured it all – verbal abuse, physical abuse and cruelty from all corners – until finally he realized that he could use music as a way to express himself and gain confidence.
Now, DJ/songwriter/producer Clinton Sparks is partnering with The Mowgli’sKylie Morgan, the makers of EPIDUO® (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel, 0.1%/2.5%, and the Pacer National Bullying Prevention Center to listen to your stories about bullying and turn your experiences into a positive song that will raise awareness about the issue of bullying.
Head to bandtogetherproject.com to express yourself like Clinton Sparks and submit stories about your own experience with bullying. You can submit anything – a picture, a poem, a video, etc. – until August 1. After reviewing the submissions, these three artists will band together to create a song inspired by your stories.
Check out the video above to learn more about The Band Together to Banish Bullying Project and how your experience with bullying can inspire these musical artists
