Demi Lovato Makes a Shocking Confession About Her Grandfather

Demi Lovato has always been passionate about LGBT rights, and now we know why! While presenting an award at Logo TV's Trailblazers event, the singer revealed a secret — one of her grandfathers was gay.

"I've never spoken about this before, but my grandfather was a trailblazer himself," Demi said on stage. "He was brave enough to come out in the 1960s, and I feel that a lot of my spirit has come from him. He passed away a few years later and I only wish he could have been able to see all the progress that has been made."

Her family seems really important to her recently (remember that heartbreaking tweet she made about her dad a few days ago?), so we think this is totally sweet. Plus, it looks like the "Neon Lights" singer is keeping up her grandfather's legacy by staying active in the LGBT community — she's done everything from tweeting support for gay marriage to acting as the grand marshal for the gay pride parade in Los Angeles. We're in awe.

Justin Bieber Got Into a Car Accident!

Justin Bieber is no stranger to unfortunate encounters with the paparazzi, but when we heard about this accident, we were just hoping Justin was okay!

According to TMZ, Justin's driver was trying to get away from a paparazzo when the photographer's BMW crashed into the car that Justin was in. Thankfully, the Beverly Hills Police Department says that there were no injuries, so it looks like Beliebers everywhere can breathe easily. Sources say that Justin was quickly whisked away into another car, and wasn't involved in the aftermath of the fender bender.

With all the good Jelena news that’s been popping up recently, this is kind of a bummer — but at least he’s okay! In fact, the night of the accident, Justin posted a photo on Instagram showing himself back in the studio with Tyga, a rapper he collaborated with last year for the song "Wait For a Minute."

It's good to hear he's back to work so quickly after the incident!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are officially back together, but not everyone is excited for their rekindled romance. Last night, a group of Beliebers started using the hashtag "#IgnoreJustinProject" to encourage fellow fans to stop interecting with the star on social media.

The pop star, who is usually eager to talk with fans on Twitter, has been less active recently making fans think he's too busy hanging out with Selena to reach out to them.

While "#IgnoreJustinProject" had a lot of support initially, it actually caused a bit of a controversy among the Beliebers, and soon, many came to Justin's defense. Some even created new hashtags to support him using "#SupportJustinProject" and "ILoveJustinProject."

Many on Justin's side questioned the loyalty of the Beliebers who suddenly wanted to ignore him.

Justin hasn't commented on the Twitter feud yet, but we can imagine he'd be pretty sad to know that some of his Beliebers are unhappy with him. Just because Sel is back in his life doesn't mean he'd be any less devoted to his fans. After all, he interacted with them a lot back when they first dated.

There's plenty of Justin to go around!

Drew Chadwick Leaves Emblem3 to Pursue Solo Career

It's a sad day for Emblems everywhere. Emblem3 founding member Drew Chadwick has officially left the group to pursue a solo career!

The X-Factor finalists announced the news on their website this weekend writing, "We're sad to see Drew go, but he will always be our brother, and we couldn't be happier for him as he starts his new journey as a solo artist. Drew sends hugs out to all the Emblems."

Unfortunately, this also means Drew won't be joining brothers Wesley and Keaton Stromberg for the rest of the Fireside Story Sessions tour.

There is a silver lining to all of this, however! Drew will be announcing some big news about his new album on his Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts on June 27. He has already changed his Twitter handle from @DrewChadwickE3 to @TrueChadwick.

"Once people hear my music and philosophy they will understand everything," Drew tweeted Sunday. "This is no goodbye, this is hello."

The Stromberg bros are also looking to the future. They just released the new Emblem3 track "Love Will Be There" Sunday to assure us that the band is not going anywhere anytime soon!

This Photo of the 'Mockingjay' Cast Will Make You Shed a Tear

It's a wrap! The first part of Mockingjay, the final installment of The Hunger Games saga, doesn't hit theaters until November, but the cast has already had to say goodbye!

The movie's producer, Nina Jacobson, tweeted a photo of cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson in a huge group hug on Friday to mark the final day of shooting. Aww, doesn't that just make you all warm and fuzzy inside?

Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair in the films, also gave The Hunger Games series an emotional send-off. "I feel privileged, honoured and so very lucky to have shared this opportunity with so many passionate & talented people," he wrote in a string of tweets on Saturday.

There still hasn't been a trailer released for Mockingjay, but new posters for the movie just came out, featuring some interesting pics of Panem's heroes. There's also a recently-launched website for The Capitol to keep you entertained, which will be filled with loads more Mockingjay content.

It's sad to know that the series is almost over, but at least that also means we're one step closer to seeing the movies in theaters!

Is Liam Payne Getting Married?

If you freaked out a little after reading that headline, we don't blame you. When we first heard the news that Liam Payne accepted a marriage proposal, we couldn't believe it, either! But fear not. Liam is not actually getting married, but he did something incredibly cute for a fan!

Earlier this month, One Direction held a Q&A sesh for the Rays of Sunshine charity, which the guys are ambassadors for, and answered Directioners' burning questions. One brave fan, Ellie Mae-Morgan, asked if Liam is available to get married, and he said yes! He told Ellie he would meet her the next day for the wedding!

Liam then went on to ask Ellie what kind of wedding she wanted, and she replied that she wanted to have a big wedding. Liam suggested they get married at Buckingham Palace, the home of the British Royal Family. He sure knows how to make a girl feel like a princess!

Though Liam almost made his fan's dream come true, he's actually dating Sophia Smith IRL. Thecouple briefly broke up earlier this year, but by the end of May, it was clear that Sophiam was back on! Let's just hope Liam's "engagement" doesn't make Sophia jealous!

Demi Lovato Posts Heartbreaking Tweet Remembering Her Dad

A year ago today Demi Lovato lost her estranged father, Patrick Lovato, who had been battling throat cancer for years. The courageous star took to Twitter to mark the anniversary of his passing, making it clear that even though they had a difficult relationship, they were also extremely close.

There were several years where Demi cut off all communication with her dad, who was dealing with mental health issues, because she found it too painful to be around him.

"You try to have faith in somebody, even when you're the last person that believes in him," sheexplained back in 2009. "But when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what to do."

Selena Gomez Admits That She Needs to Chill Out

When police showed up at Selena Gomez's house earlier in the week to break up a party, some people in her life worried that the star might be spending too much time with a bad influence — her ex, Justin Bieber. But it turns out that Selena was probably just trying to have some fun for a change.

"I mean, I've been working since I was seven years old," she explains in a new interview. "I love being able to work, but you have to understand what it means to take a break and that's what my problem is. I'm like, 'I need to chill. I need to go have some fun.'"

Don't worry, it's not like Sel regrets the path she has chosen. In fact, she's so obsessed with her career — from her music and charity work to her clothing line and social media presence — that she can't imagine having it any other way.

"I chose my lifestyle," Selena says. "It's easy to be pressured in this line of work because you're in front of the cameras and it's all kind of depending on you... but at the end of the day, I don't have to do anything that I don't want to do. That's something my mom did teach me."

"I've always loved my life," she adds. "I think there are certain parts of my life I wish I could have to myself, and things I could do and grow and experience, but it would almost be hypocritical of me if I just complained about it. I think it's silly sometimes what happens, but I love what I do. I guess I gotta deal with it."

The film, Barbarella, is a silly sci-fi movie that gained attention in the seventies as a cult classic. It's no surprise that the queen of pin up and retro style would be into this sort of movie, and it seems her fans are supporting her choice wholeheartedly. Especially since Grande claims the film "applies at the moment," alluding to the rumors about "Break Free" being the starlet's second single.

Miley Cyrus Sends Touching Video to Her Dying Fan

Miley Cyrus may be busy traveling the world for her Bangerz tour, but she still finds the time to reach out to her fans when they need her the most. Recently, one of Miley's biggest fans Caley Camarillo passed away after a long battle with cystic fibrosis. When Miley found out that Caley's health was taking a turn for the worst she made a special video message just for her.

According to Caley's mom Teresa, Miley's video helped daughter to "let out a smile."

Recently, Teresa decided to share the video on Facebook stating that, "Miley sent this video to me privately. It was I that decided to share it with the world. I was so deeply touched and wanted everyone to feel what I felt."

As she posted the video, she recalled all of the light in Caley's life, and the impact Miley had on her. See the full Facebook text below.

"I just wanted to share how things go full circle. Miley Cyrus was the very first celebrity that Caley was into and the very first celebrity she met....Caley's life was then sent into an amazing journey meeting a lot of wonderful people who have taken the time to get to know such an amazing soul. Ariana Grande is packing space guns for her next project, as well as some flashy futuristic fashion.

The Sam & Cat star and "Problem" singer has traded in Iggy Azalea for Zedd on "Break Free," which is rumored to be her second single on her still-untitled sophomore album.

If the rumors about her new single are true, it looks like the music video is well underway, as Grande posted pics of her outfit, which was designed by Johnny Wujeck. If you think it looks a little Katy Perry-esque, that's because Wujeck is Perry's stylist! Maybe Ari's channeling an "E.T." vibe?

She recently posted a picture of a 1966 Ad "Space Lady Astronaut," quickly tweeting "that was a hint" as a followup.

The popstar even revealed a while back that she wanted "Break Free" as her second single to Press Party saying, "I did a song with Zedd, who I just met for the first time. I really want that to be the second single. My whole team is like, ‘Oh, it’s too early to pick a new single,’ but I’m really…I love that song so much. He’s fantastic and the song is really fun, and it’s very different for me."

The recently on-again couple was spotted leaving a recording studio yesterday, as the paparazzi snapped a few photos of the two driving off in Justin's blue Ferrari.

According to HollywoodLife.com, the lovebirds have been considering combining their musical forces for some time now. “Selena is back on board working with Justin on a song,” the source said. “They started working on a single together a couple of months ago but Selena pulled out after a huge fight.”

The couple was spotted the night before partying on the beaches of Malibu, and have been nearly inseparable in the past few days!

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together, they have been spending a lot of time together lately. Unfortunately, it seems like Justin's bad boy behavior might be rubbing off on his ex... and even getting her in trouble with police!

According to TMZ, the cops were called to Sel's California home Tuesday night after her neighbors complained about the loud noise coming from a house party the "Come and Get It" singer was hosting.

One neighbor even claimed that "the noise was so ear-crushing her windows were rattling." The police warned Selena and her guests that they had to turn down the loud music immediately or the party would get shut down.

A source close to Selena's family also spoke with TMZ, revealing that her family isn't too happy that she's back with Justin. We don't think the fact that she has started partying again is going to help matters much. (Remember what happened the last time she got too caught up in the Hollywood scene?)

While Jelena fans anxiously await confirmation from Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez that they're officially a couple again, one thing is for sure: The exes had a total blast hanging out together in LA earlier this week, making it look like they've decided to rekindle their romance once more.

"Justin and Selena are definitely full-on back together at the moment," a source told Us Weekly. "They spent all day riding together on a Can-Am Spyder on Sunset Blvd. … Justin drove while Selena sat on the back holding on to [him]. He was incredibly sweet with her and they looked super happy and in love."

But as a another source told the magazine, we shouldn't expect the reunion to last.

"They never stop talking, even when you don't see them together—that never changes," the insider explained. "They fight, take a break, and then get back together. No surprise that it happened once again."

Was Taylor Swift's Rhode Island Mansion Under Attack?

Remember when things got pretty crazy outside of Taylor Swift's Rhode Island mansion last summer? After one guy tried to swim onto the property to meet her, the pop star decided to post a hilarious sign warning people to keep out. Unfortunately, it sounds like the same kind of trouble could be starting up all over again.

Over the weekend, three people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after they threw bottles and screamed curse words at Taylor's security guards. According to one member of the group, they have nothing against the pop star — they were just partying and things got out of hand.

We're sure that Taylor was incredibly upset by the situation — after all, she considers her Rhode Island home an escape from her lonely life in New York City and loves spending time relaxing there. That won't be easy if people are throwing bottles at her house and yelling at her guards!

Why Is Zendaya's New Role Causing Major Controversy?

When we heard that Zendaya has been cast as the lead in the Lifetime original movie, Aaliyah: Princess Of R&B, we were thrilled for the Disney Channel actress, who considers the late songstress one of her biggest inspirations. Some people weren't so pleased by the news though— specifically, Aaliyah fans who were upset that the deceased star's family hadn't given the project their blessing. They posted messages on Twitter, criticizing everything from Zendaya's looks to her dancing ability.

Luckily, Aaliyah's family decided to intervene, telling angry fans to calm down and show Z some respect.

Zendaya is ignoring the haters and staying positive, explaining on Twitter that all she wants to do is show how much Aaliyah accomplished in only 22 years.

"She's beautiful inside and there will never be another Aaliyah," Z wrote. "I just hope to share her beautiful story, and make her proud up in heaven #babygirl #forever #OneInAMillion."
