Even though Ed Sheeran came out and said he dated Ellie Goulding around the time of the VMAs, she's still clinging to her story and won't admit that she was really with the musician, even though they were spotted holding hands at the awards show.
Whether she's just bitter about the whole VMA situation still or is completely embarrassed about Ed revealing she cheated on him in his new song Don't where the lyrics "We make money the same way... you were looking for a lover to burn" clearly call out her profession and hit song, "Burn," she's definitely trying her hardest to pretend like their relationship never happened.
When a fan tweeted at Ellie, saying, "Just found out that ellie dated ed sheeran. And I ask what the h---!? There's hope for us all," the star responded with "did I?!," causing some Sheerios to jump in and call her a liar.
Another fan told Ellie she needed to check the news more often to learn things she never knew about herself, and Ellie joked back, sarcastically saying it's "very informative."
