Shailene Woodley is about to have the most insane year of her life. Not only does Divergent hit theaters this month but The Fault In Our Stars will be released in June. While fans may think that Shailene jumped at the opportunity to star in these films, that's totally not the case.
In a recent interview with THR, Shailene revealed that she almost turned down the role of Tris because she didn't want to be contractually obligated to do the three movies in the series. It wasn't until Jennifer Lawrence emailed her that she changed her mind.
"[Jennifer] said: 'You must do it. You will not regret it for a second. Yes, there are some hard things, but there are so many beautiful things that will come from an opportunity like this,'" Shailene said.
Just like Shailene, JLaw has admitted that she almost turned down the starring role in The Hunger Games franchise. Thankfully, her mom convinced her to take it.
